Meet Our Founders
Briana Evigan
After more than a decade of global exploration, Briana has witnessed the challenges facing many people and communities around the world. An innate sense of duty compelled her to be a part of the solution to the challenges faced by people and the planet.
Briana’s profound experiences with animals gave her her voice back and she now is using her voice to stand in solidarity with the world.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Briana started out as a dancer, singer, and musician landing her first major feature debut as the star of the box office hit Step Up 2: The Streets in 2008, and reprised her role in a 2014 instalment of the franchise, Step Up: All In. She also played starring roles in Sorority Row, S. Darko, and Burning Bright. She is most excited about her upcoming completed films, Just Below Sunset, Love Is All You Need? and Love and Communication.
She has fronted countless campaigns, fundraisers, speaking events, and mission trips, all of which have affirmed Briana’s allegiance to animal advocacy and human rights; ultimately positioning her as a global voice of authority in this space.
A gifted storyteller, and 15-year veteran of the entertainment business, Briana is now using her skills and network to build a platform where unheard voices can be heard, those unseen can be held and untold stories can be witnessed. Briana has amassed a collective of business, technology and media leaders to create a production studio that creates profits for many: stakeholders, team and community.
Briana’s move to South Africa has been 7-years in the making. Following numerous research trips, expeditions, and community building, 7-years ago she started creating ‘Charlie’ a narrative feature. The project has now evolved to include MoveMe South Africa the docuseries.
Stuart Newton
Stuart Newton is the co-founder of MoveMe. Known for his uncanny ability to help connect people who are in need with people who can give. He brings a unique gift to the MoveMe team.
His nickname, Captain Happy, comes from a genuine place of joy and love for people. He is a father, mentor, husband, friend, leader, and is using everything he has learned from his roles to follow his true passion of making a positive impact in the world.
Stuart has lived his life in California and now resides in Puerto Rico. He currently leads Business Development for the middle market group of a Big 4 accounting firm. During his 35-year career in sales, leadership and business development, he has closed hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for his employers and clients.
Previously, Stuart was the co-founder of Unfair Advantage, a revenue acceleration company helping clients increase revenue in a shorter period of time. There, he refined his skills in understanding product-market fit and creating multiple revenue streams to help clients meet and exceed revenue targets.
Stuart is bringing his business acumen to MoveMe and helping get the necessary deals and partnerships closed to help make take this project from dream to reality. He has led not only his business but also his life with generosity and kindness, something that he has taught both of his daughters and something that he continues to spread to everyone he meets.
His ability to craft self-sufficient business models enables those he works with to scale their projects beyond the traditional approach of donors and grants. He has a great gift for business and a mind that works in ways that most don’t understand which is what brought him and Briana together to create the magic of MoveMe in 2020.
